Artist: Saul Bass Important Added Info: Note that when the style A one-sheet for this movie was created, images of the stars were inserted into the solid black of the word "THE" in the title. The pressbook shows a "style B" one-sheet that does not have this, but that poster was never produced. However, what was intended for that poster was only used on this paper banner and on the insert, although on the insert they added a large photo montage above the title. This banner is extremely rare (we have never auctioned it before). Also note that this item, and several other rare Saul Bass items, were consigned to us by a very longtime Saul Bass collector who painstakingly tracked down these items over many years! This is a great opportunity to add rare unusual Saul Bass items to your collection. Note that we will also have a group of 20 rare "rolled" posters with Saul Bass art from the same longtime collector in our auction of "special" posters that begins on October 1st. Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has a vertical crease 1 1/2" from the left border. It has a very large number of light creases and scuffs scattered throughout (see our image). There is some light brown staining across the top and bottom blank borders.
