Stars.... Laughs!") starring Jerome Courtland, Ruth Warrick, Ron Randell, Virginia Welles, Al Jarvis, ("See and Hear") Frankie Laine, King Cole Trio, Toni Harper, Jack Smith, Kay Starr, The Sportsmen, Charlie Barnet, Jimmy Dorsey, Jan Garber, Pee Wee Hunt, Gene Krupa, and Ray McKinley. Toni Harper was a black African American child singer born in Los Angeles in 1937. She was performing on stage at the age of 8 with Herb Jeffries and Cab Calloway among many others. In 1946, she had a platinum record with "Candy Store Blues" and she appeared in two movies in 1948 and 1949, and made three appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show at this time. When she turned 18, she recorded an album and made two more several years later. She toured in Japan with Cannonball Adderley in 1963, and had a small part in 1965's "How to Stuff a Wild Bikini", and then she completely retired from show business, and to the best of our knowledge, she is still alive! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: SUPER IMPORTANT! THOUGH ONLY EIGHT OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED, THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 9 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE (but realize that on some of these lots with 9 or more stills there may be a few duplicates, mostly on post-1960 lots)! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing eight of the stills. NOTE: On rare occasions, large lots of 9 or more black-and-white stills like this one can sometimes have one or more duplicated stills, but since we only picture 8 of the stills, if there are duplicates, they are likely not pictured. We try to note when this happens, but we may not catch it every time, so please do not bid on such lots unless you can accept this possibility. Condition: good to very good.
