JAN GARBER

Jan Garber was a jazz bandleader and violinist from the 1910s to the 1970s. He became known as "The Idol of the Airwaves" in his heyday of the 1920s and 1930s, playing jazz in the vein of contemporaries such as Guy Lombardo. Some of his songs include: Melody from the Sky, Round Evening, and Weary River. Garber passed away in 1977 at the age of 82.
