An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Twenty-Four-Sheet Movie Poster (24sh; measures 103 1/2" x 114 3/4" [263 x 291 cm]) (Learn More) To Kill a Mockingbird, the classic 1962 Robert Mulligan (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) courtroom lawyer legal melodrama ("The most beloved and widely read Pulitzer Prize Winner now comes vividly alive on the screen!"; "Based upon Harper Lee's novel 'To Kill a Mockingbird'"; "The most beloved and widely read book of the decade now comes vividly alive on the screen!"; "Pulitzer Prize winner"; "The Pulitzer Prize novel that has become a legend in its own time is now a memorable motion picture!"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Gregory Peck (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; as Atticus Finch), Mary Badham (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; as "Scout"), Phillip Alford ("as Jem"), John Megna (as Dill; perhaps based on Harper's friend Truman Capote), Ruth White, Paul Fix, Brock Peters (as Tom Robinson), Frank Overton, Rosemary Murphy, Collin Wilcox Paxton (as Mayella), Robert Duvall (in his first role; as "Boo Radley", who was described in some of the advertising as a "mentally-retarded recluse", which is completely wrong!), William Windom (as The Prosecutor), James Anderson, and Estelle Evans (as the maid Calpurnia). Note that for many years, it was believed that the author of the novel "To Kill a Mockingbird", Harper Lee, had only written this one book and never wrote another (she was childhood friends with Truman Capote, and most believe John Megna's character in the movie is based on Capote, and some believe that Capote helped Lee write the novel). But in 2014, it was discovered that Lee had written an earlier novel, called "Go Set a Watchman", before "To Kill a Mockingbird", but it was never published until 2015, and was published exactly as it was written, in 2015 (Lee was 88 years old at the time of publishing, and did not publicize the "new" book)! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this twenty-four sheet was printed in 12 sections designed to overlap, BUT SIX OF THOSE SECTIONS ARE MISSING. The portion that is present has much of the title and the image of Gregory Peck, and one could choose to have a restorer recreate solely the missing part of the title and the missing letters of Peck's credit, and display it that way, or they could go in any other direction. But please do not bid on this unless you can accept that only half the poster is present and have a plan for it! Note that this item needs to be shipped in an oversized flat package (sometimes a very large oversized package; see the dimensions of the item). So please bear in mind that this item must be sent in a LARGE flat package (the size of the package will depend on the size of the item), and bear this added expense in mind before placing a bid on it. In addition, some of the items that are in this section are ones that are "three dimensional" and need to be shipped in a box, and often need to be sent by themselves, so bear that in mind as well before bidding. Condition: poor. Only half of the poster is present (see above). Learn More about condition grades
