BROCK PETERS

Brock Peters was a black African American actor from the 1950s to the 2000s, who did not get roles as good as he should have, due to the difficulty black African American actors faced at the time (but he paved the way for many later black actors to be able to get the kind of roles he was denied). He is likely best remembered for his role as Tom Robinson in To Kill a Mockingbird. Some of his other movies include: Porgy and Bess, and the Pawnbroker. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 78.
