A lost child who became a savage queen of a black jungle!"; "Beautiful and Proud... Yet more savage than the black jungle she ruled!"; "She fought Lust with the Clawing Fury of a Tormented Tigress"; "Sleek and Cunning as a Jungle Animal"; "SEE this incredible beauty, supreme ruler of a seething jungle empire!"; "SEE the jungle goddess fight with the clawing fury of a tormented tigress"; "SEE frantic men try to subdue this untouchable beauty!") starring Marion Michael (in the title role as Liane; "Germany's answer to Brigitte Bardot"), Hardy Kruger, Adrian Hoven, Friedrich Joloff, Rik Battaglia, Rolf von Nauckhoff, Irene Galter, Peter Mosbacher, Reinhard Kolldehoff, and Rudolf Forster. Note that this movie was made in Germany in 1956, when star Marion Michael was just 16, and yet she had nude scenes, and appeared virtually nude on the posters! The movie was not released in the U.S. until over two years later. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these lobby cards were used in Canada and one of them is censored. In the mid 1940s, extending into the 1950s, Canadian censors were fanatical over not showing images of guns, but also girls with "too sexy" revealing clothes, and violent images. So they actually hired people to apply giant blobs of paint over offensive areas! The paint bonds in with the cards, and it CAN'T be removed, only painted over. So either you see this as a giant defect, which defaces the poster, or you may think of it as a "cool addition", showing how crazy Canadian censorship was at this time. But please do not bid on these cards unless you can accept this very significant defect! Condition: good. The card pictured at top has red censor paint in some areas (see above). Both have tape on the back of three edges (not put there for any restoration purpose) that have creased the edges of the cards. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
