BRIGITTE BARDOT (personality)

Brigitte Bardot was a French actress and sex symbol from the 1950s to the 1970s. She was a "sex kitten", and was as popular in France as Marilyn Monroe was in the U.S.! She is best known for her roles in And God Created Woman, Le Mepris, Masculin Feminin: 15 Faits Precis, La Verite, and Viva Maria! In the 1970s, she retired from acting and eventually became very active in animal rights causes and charities. She also supported of far-right views and was fined twice for public insults, and five times for inciting racial hatred. She passed away in 2025 at the age of 91.
