An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) The Lodger, the 1944 John Brahm London England Scotland Yard serial killer suspense murder horror crime thriller ("From the novel by Marie Belloc-Lowndes") starring Merle Oberon, George Sanders, Laird Cregar (in the title role as Slade the Lodger & Jack the Ripper), Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Sara Allgood, and Aubrey Mather NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was machine folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. There are rough creases along the folds. Someone put many pieces of tape on parts of the backs of the borders, mending tears, and covering a small area of paper loss at the right of the horizontal foldline (they replaced the missing area with a small piece from another poster). This same person then did amateur restoration to the border areas, and painted in the small missing part of the background at the right end of the horizontal foldline. They also put a piece of tape on the back of the middle crossfold (mostly for reinforcement) and also a piece of tape on the back of a tiny area of paper loss in the left edge of Cregar's right eye, and they did paint restoration to that area of the eye. If I owned this poster, I would surely have a talented restorer paperback the poster, undoing the amateur restoration. After proper restoration, this poster will look great!
