Rock 'N Roll love!"; "Scorching story of the Slick Chicks who Fire Up the Big Wheels!"; "Written by Meyer Dolinsky") starring Leigh Snowden, Richard Hartunian, Wright King, Joey Forman, and Brett Halsey AND Calypso Joe, the 1957 Edward Dein romantic dance musical ("Calypsomania!"; "Red-hot TYPHOON from TRINIDAD... with that BONGO BEAT!"; "The big heat! The bongo beat! From Calypso land!") starring Herb Jeffries (in the title role as Calypso Joe), Angie Dickinson, Edward Kemmer, Laurie Mitchell, and "World's Greatest Calypso Stars!" Lord Flea And His Calypsonians, Terry Gilkyson And The Easy Riders, Herb Jeffries' Calypsomaniacs, Duke of Iron, Lady T, and The Lester Horton Dancers. Note that Herb Jeffries was a black African American actor who starred in four well-remembered all-black cast cowboy movies in the 1930s, but then largely retired from movies, playing himself in this movie.
