Complete Set of 8 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Madame X, the 1966 David Lowell Rich romantic melodrama ("There was always a man... Never a name!"; "There was ALWAYS A MAN... There was Never a Name!"; produced by Ross Hunter; based on the play by Alexandre Bisson) starring Lana Turner (in the title role "as Madame X"), John Forsythe, Ricardo Montalban, Burgess Meredith, Constance Bennett, and Keir Dullea (billed as "The 'David and Lisa' star as Clay, Jr."). Note that this classic tearjerker is one of the most frequently remade movies ever! It was first in a feature film in 1916 (as "Madam X"), and was then remade in 1920, 1929, 1937, 1939, 1948, 1954, and 1966, and there was even a TV movie version in 1981! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. Each card has several pairs of staple holes and a few minor creases in the borders. Most of the cards have some smudging in the borders. Card #5 (woman and man sitting at table drinking) has a small area of surface paper loss in the ce. Note that it is extremely time-consuming to individually describe the condition of each lobby card in a set of eight. Because of the large number of sets we sell, we will only note more significant defects in each individual card. We will NOT note every tiny border tear, stain, or pinhole.
