An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked International One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Jaws, the classic 1975 Steven Spielberg Massachusetts man-eating Great White shark horror thriller ("The terrifying motion picture from the terrifying No. 1 best seller."; "The screen's super thriller from the #1 book"; "...May be too Intense for younger children"; "For fullest enjoyment - see 'Jaws' from the beginning."; "Based on the novel by Peter Benchley"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; with an Academy Award winning musical score by John Williams, and special effects by Robert A. Mattey) starring Roy Scheider (as Chief Brody), Robert Shaw (as Quint), Richard Dreyfuss (as Hooper), Lorraine Gary, Murray Hamilton, Carl Gottlieb, Jeffrey Kramer, Susan Backlinie (as the girl who swims nude at the beginning, and soon greatly regrets it!), Jonathan Filley, Ted Grossman, Chris Rebello, Jay Mello, Lee Fierro, Jeffrey Voorhees, Craig Kingsbury, Dr. Robert Nevin, and Peter Benchley. Note that this movie had to be altered drastically when the mechanical shark (named "Bruce") did not work properly, and so the many scenes that showed it were altered so that you either didn't see it or could only barely see it. Of course, this greatly added to the suspense of the movie, and no doubt accidentally helped make it a giant hit!

Artist: Roger Kastel
Important Added Info: Note that this is an "international" style one-sheet (meaning it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the lack of a ratings box and NSS information.

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). It had some faint smudges and scuffs scattered throughout. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
