c106 MYRT & MARGE glass slide '33 early Three Stooges!

An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More)

Myrt and Marge, the 1933 Al Boasberg romantic comedy ("The Famous Radio Stars"; "They're in the movies now!") starring Myrtle Vail (in the title role as Myrt), Donna Damerel (in the title role as Marge), Ted Healy, Eddie Foy Jr., Thomas Jackson, and the Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Curly Howard). Note that movie paper of any kind from this obscure movie is incredibly rare. We know that The Three Stooges were pictured on a single lobby card, but we don't know if they appear on any other original paper, or if they are billed (on the glass slide, Ted Healy is billed, but they are not). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that this movie is famous for its very early appearance by The Three Stooges (who were then billed as "Ted Healy and His Stooges"). Note that they do not appear on this glass slide, and only Ted Healy is billed. Many years ago, I was fortunate enough to own a complete lobby card set from this title, and one of the cards has a great full-color image of Healy knocking down the Stooges (this is likely the only item from this movie that contains an image of the Stooges). This IS a cool slide, but no mention or image of the Stooges! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).

Condition: very good.
