An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More)

The Monkey's Paw, the classic 1933 Wesley Ruggles & Ernest B. Schoedsack fantasy horror thriller ("They defied destiny in this mystic mystery of a cursed charm"; "Its charm carried a curse... Its wishes brought tragedy!"; "Wishes Do Come True... in this mystic mystery of a charm that carried a curse!"; "From the story of W.W. Jacobs and the play by Louis N. Parker"; the classic story of a soldier in India who gets a monkey's paw which can magically grant three wishes to its owner; the soldier tells an old couple about it, and the old man steals the paw and then makes three wishes, but each is granted in the worst possible way, and the old man realizes the old maxim about being careful what you wish for, but the movie has a "happy ending", where the old man awakens and discovers it was all a dream) starring Ivan F. Simpson, Louise Carter, C. Aubrey Smith, Bramwell Fletcher, Betty Lawford, and Nina Quartero. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that this slide has a small, but significant, amount of damage to the image in the lower left corner. There is also damage across the bottom blank area, but of course that is far less important! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).

Condition: good. This glass slide has clear condition problems that causes it to be in less than "very good" condition. We do NOT describe those defects in words (UNLESS the defect is a crack in one or both panes of the glass, in which case we ALWAYS describe it elsewhere within the auction in words), and you can likely see some or all of them in the "large" and "super-sized" images we provide. If you are the sort who can accept a major defect, then you should bid on items in this condition grade, BUT PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THESE ITEMS UNLESS YOU CAN ACCEPT THEIR VERY CLEAR DEFECTS!
