An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Valley of Decision, the 1945 Tay Garnett Pittsburgh Pennsylvania steel mill romantic family relationship melodrama ("MGM's Tempestuous Romance"; "The Book That Thrilled Millions!"; "MGM's Great Romance"; "Based on the Novel by Marcia Davenport, author of Lena Geyer"; about the owner of a steel mill whose son falls in love with the daughter of a man who was crippled in a mill accident, and both fathers are very much against the romance) starring Greer Garson (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Gregory Peck, Donald Crisp, Lionel Barrymore, Preston Foster, Marsha Hunt, Gladys Cooper, Reginald Owen, Dan Duryea, Jessica Tandy (her fourth credited movie role in 13 years!), Barbara Everest, Marshall Thompson, and Geraldine Wall NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the cardboard holder has staining around the staples, but the glass slide itself is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
