An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Bowery Battalion, the 1951 William Beaudine Army juvenile delinquent military comedy starring The Bowery Boys (billed as "Leo Gorcey and The Bowery Boys"; including Leo Gorcey and Huntz Hall), Virginia Hewitt, Donald MacBride, Bernard Gorcey, Al Eben, Frank Jenks, and William Bailey. Note that Bernard Gorcey was star Leo Gorcey's father, and he played Louie, the owner of the Sweet Shop, where the boys frequently hung out, and Louie was often involved in slapstick gags, and many times Leo Gorcey would be tormenting or slapping his own father! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we were consigned a collection of posters and lobby cards from movies related to the Dead End Kids and the many sequel groups they appeared in, like the Bowery Boys. These were collected by one person in the 1970s, and it would take a lifetime to reassemble this collection, but all of these 160 items (which include many lobby card sets in single auctions) will have new owners when these auctions end! Condition: good. The poster is lightly rippled throughout. It has creases, pinholes and tears around the edges and someone backed all of the folds and edges with brown paper tape. It is otherwise "all there" and after proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
