An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures 31" x 40" [79 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Return of the Jedi (now known as "Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi"), the classic 1983 Richard Marquand outer space science fiction (sci-fi) action adventure epic sequel ("Return to a galaxy far, far away!"; "The Saga Continues"; "The movie everyone's been waiting for!"; written and produced by George Lucas) starring Mark Hamill (as Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (as Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (as Princess Leia), Billy Dee Williams (as Lando Calrissian), Anthony Daniels ("as C-3PO"), David Prowse (as the man in the Darth Vader suit), Kenny Baker (as R2-D2), Peter Mayhew (as Chewbacca), Frank Oz (as the voice of Yoda), James Earl Jones (as the voice of Darth Vader), and Alec Guinness (as Obi-Wan Kenobi) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Josh Kirby Important Added Info: Note that this British Quad measures 31" x 40" [79 x 102 cm] and it appears that the bottom and left edge of the poster were not cut by the printer in the same was as the top and right edges. According to Star Wars experts, many original British quads from this title (and other titles of this time period) measure 27 1/4" x 40" (the accepted reason is that there were quads made this size for the London Underground), but that there are also some British quads that measure the full 30" x 40" as this one does (these full-sized ones may be "printer's tests"). Also, there are two versions of the original theatrical British Quad which feature art by Josh Kirby, and contain the same main elements (Han, Luke, Leia, Vader, etc). The more common version also features an exploding sandskiff, Boba Fett firing his weapon, Imperial Guards, and more. The less common version is missing those elements but features an ewok below Han Solo. We have heard that the version with the ewok was not considered "exciting" enough, and Kirby added the other elements at the request of the studio. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good to very good. There are creases and some 1" and smaller tears around the edges of the poster.
