An Original Vintage English Movie Trade Ad (measures 11" x 17" [28 x 43 cm]; 2 pages) (Learn More) Hitler's Children, the 1943 Edward Dmytryk Germany World War II (WWII) anti-Nazi propaganda melodrama ("We know what to do to women who are not fit to be Nazi mothers!"; "'Sensational' is too mild a word for it! The truth about the Nazis from the cradle to the battlefront!"; "You'll say it's the most Sensational picture ever filmed!"; "Out of the pages of the book that shocked the world"; "It's coming your way! The picture that has startled all America!"; "250,000 people storm the doors of 50 theatres in a single day. In a spectacular multi-city world premier under the sponsorship of radio station WLW"; "Denial of motherhood to all who do not conform to the monster-made laws of the land that's forgotten the meaning of love, marriage, home!"; "Based on Gregor Ziemer's 'Education for Death' the book that shocked the world and as told to millions in 'Reader's Digest'") starring Tim Holt, Bonita Granville, Kent Smith, Otto Kruger, H.B. Warner, Lloyd Corrigan, Erford Gage, Hans Conried, Gavin Muir, and Nancy Gates. Note that this was one of the most successful "B movies" in RKO history (partially because of the scene featuring Granville getting whipped) and boosted Edward Dmytryk's career. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a great trade ad taken out of an issue of Kinematograph Weekly English trade magazine (we have 33 of them in this set of auctions). Studios would run these elaborate ads in issues of this magazine, and they often had images not found on any of the regular movie posters (either English or U.S.). This trade ad was removed from a 1943 issue of this magazine, and it will look incredible displayed on the new owner's wall. The back of this trade ad has text or ads for other movies from that time, and we have not pictured the back because the primary interest to bidders is the great ad we have pictured. Condition: good to very good. The ad was removed from a magazine (see above). It was the centerfold of the magazine so the pages are on a single sheet, and there are staple holes at the spine (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
