An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

It Conquered the World (also released as "It Conquered the Earth"), the 1956 Roger Corman AIP monster science fiction (sci-fi) horror thriller ("Every man its prisoner... Every woman its slave!"; produced by Samuel Z. Arkoff; about a scientist who contacts a creature from Venus that he believes wants to peacefully come to the Earth, so he helps it do so, but of course, he is tragically wrong!) starring Peter Graves, Beverly Garland, Lee Van Cleef, Sally Fraser, Russ Bender, Jonathan Haze, and Paul Blaisdell (as the monster). Note that this 1950s B-science fiction movie is notable for having one of the best main casts of any of these movies, and, of course, the top stars went on to much better movies and TV shows!

Artist: Albert Kallis

Condition: good to very good. There is some light rippling throughout the poster from exposure to moisture and there is a vertical crease at middle left and right from the poster being folded in half an extra time. There are light brown stains in the credits area at lower left, in the background at upper left, and in the blank borders around the edges of the poster. There is a 1" tear in the middle of the bottom edge of the poster and there are some pin holes and small tears in the corners. There is a small label and an area of marker writing on the back of the poster at top center but they do not appear to have any effect on the front. Fortunately, this is the kind of poster that responds well to restoration. The light rippling and stains mentioned above could surely be removed through chemical means and after linenbacking the poster will look fantastic!
