If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never seen this VERY unusual Japanese poster before. It has two identical posters printed on the same sheet of paper, so it seems that it was surely intended for theaters to be able to separate it into two and to have two posters for the price of one. It has printer registration marks in the right border, so it is likely some sort of "printer's test", and it could be that the poster never made it beyond that stage, which could explain why we have never auctioned it before. Beyond what we wrote above, we know nothing. There is a Japanese B2 that has a similar layout that is an "Oscar" style from 1978, so we would assume that this poster is as well. It is surely one of the most rare Star Wars posters! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
UPDATED 06/18/2017: Note that a knowledgeable collector tells us that these posters were used on subways and buses! Condition: very good to fine. The poster was lightly tri-folded at one time and there are "waves" in two areas of the poster, but they are not creases. Otherwise, the poster is in really nice condition!
