Raffles, the Amateur Cracksman, the 1917 George Irving silent romantic crime jewel robbery adventure melodrama ("Story by E.W. Hornung"; about a debonnaire master criminal who makes a bet with another crook that he can rob an expensive collection of jewels, and after he wins the bet, he gives the money to a friend in trouble and returns the jewels to the rightful owner!) starring John Barrymore, Frederick Perry, H. Cooper Cliffe, Frank Morgan, Christine Mayo, and Kathryn Adams. Note that Raffles was a master criminal and jewel thief in a series of 26 short stories and one novel written between 1898 and 1909. The first movie adaptation was in 1905, and it was followed by others in 1917 (with John Barrymore in the lead role), in 1925, and the first sound version was in 1930 with Ronald Colman, and finally, in 1939 with David Niven.

Condition: good. There is faint staining scattered on both sides and tears and paper loss in the right center of the herald, in the background next to Barrymore's portrait.
