Artist: Tom Jung Important Added Info: Note that, due to the immense popularity of this movie, there were FOUR different printings of this "style A" one-sheet poster! The first printing (the poster offered here) has the original NSS number of 77-21-0, while the next three printings have the 77-21 NSS number. The first three printings all have "Style A" printed in the bottom border, while the fourth printing does not. There are also reproductions of this poster, but the poster offered here is an original! Also note that this is an "international" style one-sheet (meaning it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the lack of a ratings box at lower left. We are also currently auctioning a style A domestic one-sheet (with ratings) in a separate auction.
UPDATED 12/08/2021: Note that we have added more detail to the Condition Description. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had 1/2" trimmed from the top and bottom blank borders, and mostly only blank white paper was affected, but some of the tiny writing in the center of the bottom border was trimmed off. It had a number of scuffs and small areas of surface paper loss scattered in the top right corner of the image, entering Vader's helmet. It had similar scuffs and tiny areas of surface paper loss in the bottom center of the image, below the image of Fisher, in the background area. It had a thin diagonal stain running from the center of Vader's helmet down to the lower left and ending in the small spaceships. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was expertly restored by a talented professional (who recreated the slight bit of trimmed off tiny text in the bottom border), and it displays really well, but bear in mind the amount of restoration it has had before placing a bid!
