An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Invaders From Mars, the classic 1953 William Cameron Menzies (who also did the production design) science fiction (sci-fi) alien thriller ("From Out of Space.... Came hordes of green monsters!!"; "The Martians are coming!"; "Photographed in Color") starring Helena Carter, Arthur Franz, Jimmy Hunt, Leif Erickson, Hillary Brooke, Morris Ankrum, Max Wagner, Bill Phipps, Milburn Stone, and Janine Perreau

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that there is a 1955 re-release one-sheet for this classic sci-fi movie that looks very similar to THIS original release poster, and is often mistakenly sold as original (to complicate matters, the re-release has the original 1953 NSS number in the bottom right corner, but has a 1955 date in the bottom left corner, but that wrong NSS number increases the chances of it being mistakenly sold as an original). There are a few subtle differences between the two posters (the biggest one is that the "EDWARD L. ALPERSON" at the top of the poster is in yellow on the 1953 release, but is in white on the 1955 release). The poster offered here is 100% surely the original 1953 poster!

Condition: very good to fine. There are diagonal creases just above and just below the bottom crossfold and diagonal creases to the left and right of the vertical foldline between the top crossfold and the middle crossfold. Other than the above (which can either be pressed and flattened, or the poster could be linenbacked), the poster is in excellent condition. Since the poster has had no restoration whatsoever, it seems silly to me to do any restoration solely to reduce the above small extra creases, especially since it will display great as it is (or it could simply be flattened without restoration, to greatly minimize the creases).
