WILLIAM CAMERON MENZIES

William Cameron Menzies was a film production designer (a job title he invented), art director, a film director and producer from the 1910s to 1956. He began his career during the silent era, and later pioneered the use of color in film for dramatic effect. Some of his movie include: The Dove, Tempest (he won the Best Art Direction Oscar for both), Bulldog Drummond, and Alibi. He passed away in 1957 at the age of 60
