An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

His Supreme Moment, the 1925 George Fitzmaurice silent South America New York City romantic love triangle platonic marriage melodrama ("Love sequences in color"; "Adapted by Frances Marion - from May Edginton's Novel"-; a wacky story of a mining engineer in South America who sees an actress in New York and falls in love with her and gets her to agree to marry him, but she only agrees on the condition they spend a year platonically posing as brother and sister; they go to South America, where she is depressed, and eventually return to New York, where they go their separate ways; she finds a millionaire to back the engineer in a business venture, and when he learns that she did that, he finds her and wins her back, and they go back to South America together, as true man and wife) starring Blanche Sweet, Ronald Colman, Kathleen Myers, Belle Bennett, Cyril Chadwick, and Anna May Wong (in a bit role as a harem girl in a play!). Note that this movie was written by Frances Marion from a novel by May Edginton. The plot of the movie has a lot in common with Preston Sturges' 1942 movie "The Palm Beach Story", and one wonders if Sturges hadn't seen this movie and used the basic plot, adding comedy elements. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1925 movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only auctioned two heralds from this movie until we received this lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good to very good. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
