Artist: Drew Struzan Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been personally autographed (signed) by producer Howard G. Kazanjian! Mr. Kazanjian originally wrote an inscription to someone, and then "May the force be with you" above his signature in a gold Sharpie. Someone later erased the inscription part, but a trace of it remains when you stare at the poster. Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. Note that just about everyone knows that this movie was ultimately titled "Return of the Jedi", but that it had the original working title of "Revenge of the Jedi". Teaser posters were made with the working title, and they were made in both a dated and undated version. There are many reproductions of both versions, but we have carefully examined this poster, and we are 100% certain that it is an original dated "Revenge of the Jedi" teaser one-sheet (the poster measures exactly 27 1/8" x 41")! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. Condition: fair to good. The poster was never folded. It had a personalized inscription above the "May the force be with you" that someone erased (see above). It has many creases in the lower left corner, with a few small tears in the border. It has tiny paper loss in the lower right border. It has many creases in the upper right border, with a lesser number of creases in the rest of the borders. There are some faint brown dot stains around the edges. There are many vertical creases scattered down the center, and a few in the rest of the image. There are also some tiny brown dot stains scattered throughout the back of the poster, but they do not show through to the front in the image area. Obviously, this poster can be "rescued" through linenbacking, but bear in mind its many defects and the cost of restoration before bidding on it. Learn More about condition grades
