An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) A.J. Cronin's The Keys of the Kingdom, the 1944 John M. Stahl China romantic religious Catholic priest melodrama ("Screen play by Joseph L. Mankiewicz and Nunnally Johnson"; "By A.J. Cronin, Author of 'The Citadel'") starring Gregory Peck (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Thomas Mitchell, Vincent Price, Rosa Stradner, Roddy McDowall, Edmund Gwenn, Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Peggy Ann Garner, Jane Ball, James Gleason, Anne Revere, Benson Fong, Philip Ahn, and Richard Loo. Note that A.J. Cronin was a doctor who had health problems in 1930. He wrote a book called "Hatter's Castle" in 1931, and it was so successful that he stopped practicing medicine and wrote a series of books, all centering around doctors, including "The Citadel" and "Keys of the Kingdom", all of which were made into movies! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good to very good. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
