Artist: Tom Jung Important Added Info: Note that this auction is for a 8" x 10" color transparency that is very unusual, and which the image from the style B one-sheet for this movie, except that the background is the color of the "purple variant", which is thought to be an initial rejected background color (there are a small number of one-sheets with purple backgrounds and a large number of ones with blue backgrounds)! It only has the artwork, and it seems likely that this is further verification that the purple background was initially considered for the one-sheet, but that after this transparency was made (and several one-sheets were printed), the decision was made to change the background color. We don't know anymore about the origin of this, but it is certainly cool! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that we have scanned the image shown on the transparency. The transparency has black borders down the left and right and is in a plastic sleeve, as color transparencies normally are. Note that we are also auctioning a 5" x 7" color transparency that is from the same movie and was found at the same time, and similarly has artwork only, with no title or credits, and they seem to have surely been created at the same time (see that other auction for the other transparency). Condition: very good to fine. The transparency is in nice condition. The sleeve has a tear in one border, but of course, one could simply replace the sleeve. Learn More about condition grades
