Devil's Island ("Dungeon of the Damned!"), the 1939 William Clemens France island penal colony prison convict escape crime thriller ("56,000 doomed men have written its shameful story! And Warner Bros. Have Filmed It At Last!"; "From an original by Anthony Coldewey & Raymond L. Schrock"; Karloff is a doctor who is unjustly sentenced to the famous penal colony; fortunately, he is able to save the commandant's daughter using his medical training) starring Boris Karloff, Nedda Harrigan, James Stephenson, Adia Kuznetzoff, and Rolla Gourvitch

Condition: good. The card was once framed, and someone glued the card to the mat with circular areas of glue on the back of each of the corners of the card. When the card was removed from the mat, surface paper was lost on the back of each of the four corners of the image, but it does not affect the front. The paper was "thinner" on the back of the right two corners of the image, so someone put several pieces of clear tape on the back of those areas, to prevent the card from being damaged. From the front of the card, you can't see any of the above. You can tell that the card has darkened (typical of Warner Bros. linen cards of this period), and there are thumb tack holes in the corners, and a thin strip of paper loss in the bottom of the left border.
