JAMES STEPHENSON

James Stephenson was an English actor from the 1930s to the 1940s. He did not get started in movies until 1937, when he was 48 years old, and he caught the eye of Jack Warner, who put him in many Warner Bros. melodramas of the late 1930s, in supporting roles. He had a great supporting role in 1940's "The Letter" (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and then he finally got his first starring role in 1941's "Shining Victory". Very sadly, he soon had a heart attack after it and passed at the age of 52. Ironically, he played a doctor doing research on early death in his final movie!
