An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) I Can Hardly Wait, the 1943 Jules White World War II (WWII) dentist slapstick comedy short ("A Columbia Short Subject Presentation"; the Stooges are defense workers, and Curly has a toothache, and they go to the dentist, but Moe ends up getting his tooth pulled by mistake, but it's all a dream!) starring The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Curly Howard), Lew Davis, Bud Jamison, and Adele Mara NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that Three Stooges fans have always wanted to own original release lobby cards from their comedy shorts that show Curly, but they are incredibly rare! In all our years of auctioning, we have only previously auctioned a couple of dozen first release lobby cards from Three Stooges shorts that show Curly, so this is a rare opportunity to get an original "Curly" Three Stooges card. We are also auctioning a different Curly card in a separate auction. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. What IS gelbacking? Learn More Condition: good to very good. The card had pinholes, small stains, and small tears around the edges, with one near Curly and Moe's waist. Overall, the card was in good to very good condition prior to restoration. A talented restorer gel backed the card (meaning they backed the card onto a gel material) and they then performed restoration to the above defects, and then removed the gel backing, so that the card still looks and feels like an original card (and it is!), with no backing at all. You can see slight signs of the restoration in the border, and the card displays well (see our super-sized images of the front and back). Learn More about condition grades
