Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Tales of Manhattan, the 1942 Julien Duvivier New York City all-star compilation musical comedy ("'It's as thrilling as New York's skyline!' says Walter Winchell... 'with a story to match the brilliance of its stars!' An experience you'll Never forget!"; "A story as thrilling as its stars!") starring Charles Boyer, Rita Hayworth, Ginger Rogers, Henry Fonda, Charles Laughton, Edward G. Robinson, Paul Robeson (in his final film), Ethel Waters, Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson, "plus 46 featured players" including Thomas Mitchell, Eugene Pallette, Cesar Romero, Gail Patrick, Roland Young, Elsa Lanchester, George Sanders, George Reed, James Gleason, and the Hall Johnson Choir. Note that W.C. Fields starred in a chapter from this compilation film, but it was cut before the movie was released. As far as we know, Fields is not credited or shown on any movie paper for this film. The cut chapter was restored in a 1996 video re-release NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: NOTE: In this case, the 2 in the title of this sale is not the number of the lobby card (whenever we know the number of a lobby card we list it for those of you who know which scenes you are looking for). In this case, the cards from this particular set were un-numbered, but because we are selling more than one card from this set this week as separate eBay sales, we needed to differentiate between the sales, and we did so by marking them "#2, #3, etc. (Note that we do not use #1, because this is commonly used to signify the title card). We are also selling a title card, two other scene cards and a set of 2 lobby cards elsewhere on eBay this week. Condition: fine. There is an incredibly light crease in the center of the card that runs from Waters' nose to her arm. It is really not noticeable. I did not see it until I turned the card to the light! Other than this crease the card is in wonderful condition.. Note that this is the scene card which features three of the most memorable black actors of all time, Paul Robeson, Ethel Waters, and Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson! Learn More about condition grades
