An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More)

The Cohens and Kellys in Trouble, the 1933 George Stevens romantic interfaith marriage family relationship comedy (one of the series of movies about an Irish girl who marries a Jewish boy and their difficulties in bringing their families together) starring George Sidney, Charles Murray (billed as "Charlie Murray"), Maureen O'Sullivan, Andy Devine, Jobyna Howland, Henry Armetta, and Maude Fulton. Note that this movie not only features a young sexy Maureen O'Sullivan, but it was directed by a very young George Stevens, who spent years in Hollywood directing comedy shorts (from 1930 to 1935), and he directed 30 of them in that time. In 1935, he got his big break directing Katharine Hepburn in "Alice Adams", and his career quickly took off, and he made many extremely memorable Hollywood movies, including "Gunga Din", "Swing Time", "The More the Merrier", "A Place in the Sun", and of course, "Shane" and "Giant"!

Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).

Condition: good. This glass slide has clear condition problems that causes it to be in less than "very good" condition. We do NOT describe those defects in words (UNLESS the defect is a crack in one or both panes of the slide, in which case we ALWAYS describe it elsewhere within the auction in words), and you can likely see some or all of them in the "large" and "super-sized" images we provide. If you are the sort who can accept a major defect, then you should bid on items in this condition grade, BUT PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THESE ITEMS UNLESS YOU CAN ACCEPT THEIR VERY CLEAR DEFECTS!
