Date Sold 4/17/2007Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 4 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (measure 11" x 14") (Learn More) In the Navy, the 1941 Arthur Lubin Naval military sailor screwball comedy ("Those 'Buck Privates' are all at sea!"; "Those 'Buck Privates' are bounding main-iacs!"; "They'll torpedo your troubles and blitz your blues! You'll be on the glee-side in waves of laughter... with the screen's comedy sensations and songsational sisters!"; "Original Story by Arthur T. Harman") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Dick Powell, The Andrews Sisters (Laverne, Maxene, and Patty Andrews), Claire Dodd, Dick Foran, Butch & Buddy, Condos Brothers, and Shemp Howard NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good. Note that some theater used these cards as 8x10s, and to do so, they carefully used a razor to cut out an 8" x 10" portion from the center of each image. Fortunately, the rest of the card was saved, and someone carefully taped back in the missing area with brown paper tape from the reverse, and because the cuts were very clean, there is only a fine line surrounding each cut out area.
