Condition: fair. There are six circular holes near the center of the poster, and very fortunately, they are all in unimportant areas, and ones that will be easy to restore (one is in the background below the top tagline, one is in the left edge of the hair of the girl under the end of the tagline, two are in the background to the right of Rathbone's head, one is in the background to the right of the "T" of "NIGHT", and the last one is at the bottom of the arrow to the right of the title). There are two 7" semi-circular tears at top and bottom, and again, their location is fortunate. The top one is in the end of the last "R" of "TERROR" and in the background beneath it, and the bottom one is in the yellow background to the right of Rathbone's credit and extending into the green background above it. There are water stains down the center of the poster and a few scattered through the poster. There are small tears in the borders and the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded has smudges on the back. The poster has VERY significant defects, but they are the type that can be restored well. After linenbacking and proper restoration by a talented professional, the poster will look quite nice, and there will be little paint restoration, except in the six circular areas of paper loss described above. But please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept the defects it has, or are willing to pay to have them properly restored!
