Carroll (as Joseph), Cecil Humphreys (as Judge Linton), and Miles Mander (as Lockwood) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Osvaldo Venturi Important Added Info: Note that this is from an excellent collection of 15 Argentinean posters we were just consigned, and many of them are ones we have never auctioned before or only auctioned once before. We wish that this consignor had lots more of these, but this is all he had, so this is a wonderful opportunity to purchase one or more of these rare posters, many of which have completely different images from other posters from the same movies from other countries. Also note that an advanced collector of Argentinean posters tells us that this poster (and other Argentinean posters from Guaranteed Pictures) are not from 1943 (which is below the company name in the lower left corner), but are actually from the mid-to-late 1940s, and that they are all re-releases. The reason some people have dated them to 1943 comes from seeing it on the poster, but that is actually part of the company's street address! Guaranteed Pictures made a deal to re-release a number of classic 1930s movies in the mid 1940s, and they produced posters for those re-releases, each with great entirely new art by the wonderful Argentinean poster artist, Osvaldo Venturi. Condition: good. The title of the movie was written on the back of the lower right in blue marker and it bleeds through to the front in the bottom right of the image and in the credits below it. The poster was folded in half an extra time. Obviously, a restorer can deal with the bleed-through when linenbacking the poster, but bear in mind this defect before bidding.
