An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Saturday's Heroes, the 1937 Edward Killy college university football sports romantic melodrama (about a star college player who is always broke, and has to scalp tickets to survive; his best friend in a similar situation is caught playing for money, and he commits suicide; the star player goes on a crusade to get college football reformed, so that the players can get paid, and his girlfriend, the daughter of the coach, helps him) starring Van Heflin, Marian Marsh, Richard Lane, Alan Bruce, and Willie Best. Note that this movie was made nearly 80 years ago, and the problems it describes are just as relevant today as it was then. College football players take "under the table" money, while colleges make billions in profits! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
