eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 6w0993 HEY TAXI LC 1925 Oliver Hardy & Bobby Ray in wacky taxicab driver comedy, ultra rare! Date Sold 12/10/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Hey, Taxi!, the 1925 Ted Burnsten silent taxi driver slapstick comedy short ("A mirthquake comedy"; produced by Billy West; Ray and Hardy are competing taxicab drivers who will do anything to get a fare) starring Bobby Ray, Oliver Hardy, Marjorie Beebe, and "a cast of Clever Comedy characters". Note that after Oliver Hardy was a major star in the 1910s, his star fell considerably in the early 1920s. In 1925, he was in a comedy team with Bobby Ray for four movies, but they didn't click, which is fortunate, because the following year, Hardy found a new partner in Stan Laurel! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a different scene card from this movie (and NO other movie paper) until we received this lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. The card was folded down the center at one time. There was separation at the top and bottom of that fold, and someone put tape on the back of those areas. Learn More about condition grades
