An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More) Spooks, the 1953 Jules White 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) fantasy slapstick comedy short ("3 times as hilarious in 3-D!"; "The 3 Stooges in 3-Dimensions!"; "Their most hilarious laugh hit!"; "A Columbia Short-Subject Presentation"; the Stooges are private detectives trying to find a missing girl, and their clues lead them to a mad scientist's mansion, where there is a gorilla and other bad people, including Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde) starring The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, Shemp Howard), Philip Van Zandt (as Dr. Jeckyl [sic]), Tom Kennedy (as Mr. Hyde), Norma Randall, and Steve Calvert (in an uncredited role as the gorilla). Note that in 1948, Steve Calvert bought Ray 'Crash' Corrigan's gorilla costume, which Corrigan had been using in movies since at least 1932. He appeared in 12 movies between 1948 and 1958 as a gorilla wearing Corrigan's costume! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that someone who owned the still trimmed off the bottom 1/2" of the still (apparently to put it in a frame). Sadly, this included the writing and NSS information from the bottom of the still. But very fortunately, they taped the writing area and the NSS number area to the back of the still! There are a few inches of blank white paper missing, but that is all. Condition: good to very good. The bottom 1/2" was trimmed . There are faint vertical lines every 1/2" or so across the still (as though someone rolled the still up), but they are truly barely noticeable, except when the still is tilted to the light.
