8w344 HELD BY THE ENEMY 8x10 key book still '20 Agnes Ayres between Jack Holt & Lewis Stone!

An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Key Book (8x10 keybook) 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Still (Learn More)

Held by the Enemy, the 1920 Donald Crisp silent American Civil War military melodrama ("From the play by William Gillette" [the noted Sherlock Holmes actor]; about Union troops capturing a southern city, and their surgeon falls in love with a southern belle, and is metaphorically "held by the enemy") starring Jack Holt, Agnes Ayres, Wanda Hawley, Lewis Stone, Josephine Crowell, and Lillian Leighton. Note that Lewis Stone and Jack Holt play soldiers in this movie, and both look quite young (but even though this was 1920, both had been in movies for six years at this time!). Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that the still is glued to a linen-like backing (we think it is highly likely this was a key book still, and that someone trimmed away the extra 1" from the left of the still, no doubt so it could be put in a frame).

Condition: very good to fine.
