Artist: Kazuhiko Sano Important Added Info: Note that this poster has the title in white letters. Almost all known examples of this poster have the title in silver letters. It had been suggested that this was a "rejected" version (that someone saw the initial version with white letters and decided it would be better with silver letters and that they then destroyed almost all of the white letter versions and only distributed the silver letter versions, which would account for the extreme rarity of this poster). That was only a guess, and in 2009 and 2013, we auctioned two examples of this poster, and gave the above uncertain information. However, in 2016, a printer's test version of this poster surfaced which has a different poster printed on the back. That makes it that much more certain that this never made it past the proof stage. Sometimes when printer's test posters would be printed, they would print them on the back of other test posters (since they would never be distributed to theaters, and only were shown to people at the printer and at the studio). Since 2016 we have auctioned a total of seven examples of this poster which were printed on the back of another poster, but until now, we had never been consigned another single-sided version of this poster, like the two we auctioned in 2009 and 2013. But NOW, we have been consigned a third example of this poster with nothing printed on the back, and we think that this poster (and the two similar ones we auctioned ten and 14 years ago) are printer's test posters (the poster has some printing defects in the bottom right and it is printed on a matte finish paper, which we could only imagine would have been done with a test poster). Also, this poster and the two from 2009 and 2013, have full NSS information printed on the bottom and the seven that were printed on the back of other posters did not. So know that you are bidding on a "white title" printer's test one-sheet from this movie, but one of only three we have ever auctioned that are single-sided (as stated above, we previously auctioned seven examples that were printed on the back of other posters)! Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has some very minor creases scattered in it. As noted above it has some blue ink in the lower right that is surely a minor printing defect.
