An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (measures 39" x 55") (Learn More) Tom e Jerry Per Qualche Formaggino In Piu (literally translates to "Tom and Jerry A Few More For Dairy"), the 1966 Italian Tom & Jerry cat-and-mouse chase animated animation cartoon comedy short compilation. The shorts included: Fraidy Cat, Johan Mouse, Three Little Pups, Mouse Into Space, Screwball Squirrel, That's My Pup, Invisible Mouse, Deputy Droopy, Missing Mouse,Half Pint Palomino, and Safety Second. Note that this poster is far more violent (and far more true to the spirit of the actual cartoons!) than the bland U.S. posters from the same time period! Note that Tom and Jerry is a classic series of cartoons created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The first one was created in 1940, and there as a total of 114 cartoons through 1957. Seven of these won Academy Awards for Best Cartoon, tying for most wins with Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies. There were around 50 more cartoons created after the first run ended, through the early 2000s, and there were also TV shows based on these classic characters. Some people have criticized the cartoons for their "excessive violence", but actually no blood or gore was ever shown in any of them, and this type of violence is commonly referred to as "cartoon violence". Many of the Tom and Jerry cartoons are extremely clever and make wonderful use of music. They are not nearly as appreciated today as they should be, but in their day, they were among the most popular cartoons of the 1940s! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Silvano "Nano" Campeggi Important Added Info: Note that the Italian title on this poster is "Per Qualche Formaggino Un Piu". While we are not 100% certain this poster is from "Duel Personality" (it might be for a Tom and Jerry cartoon festival, and they just used the image from one of the cartoons in the festival), the image does match the plot of "Duel Personality" but none of their other cartoons from this time period. If anyone knows for certain whether this poster is for a specific cartoon, or for a compilation feature, or for a cartoon festival, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that the title on this poster roughly translates to "For a Few Cheeses More" and the poster is dated "1966". Given that "Duel Personality" was released shortly after Clint Eastwood's "For a Few Dollars More", we believe the title was changed in Italy to cash in on the success of Eastwood's film. Also note that this Italian one-panel measures 39" x 55" and is folded. Condition: good. Learn More about condition grades
