An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) a local theater window card advertising the complete program from the week of July 30 to August 4, 1934, comprising of the following movies: Queen Christina, the 1933 Rouben Mamoulian royalty romantic melodrama ("Garbo returns"; about a Swedish Queen who falls in love with a Spaniard, but is forced to marry her cousin) starring Greta Garbo, John Gilbert, Ian Keith, Lewis Stone, Elizabeth Young, C. Aubrey Smith and Reginald Owen. Note that this John Gilbert sound movie, like all his sound movies, completely dispels the myth that he had a high-pitched speaking voice, which ended his career! Actually, he had a fine speaking voice, and there is much speculation as to what it was that actually ended his career, and that can be found in various places on the Internet, but it was definitely not his voice! AND I Like It That Way, the 1934 Harry Lachman romantic musical comedy ("Laughter! Music!! Girls!!!") starring Gloria Stuart, Roger Pryor ("The Star of 'Moonlight & Pretzels'"), Marian Marsh, Shirley Grey, Onslow Stevens, and Lucile Webster Gleason AND Sing and Like It, the 1934 William A. Seiter musical comedy ("Any girl with good strong adenoids can do the same thing!"; "Five comedy stars in a high pressure giggle drama!") starring Zasu Pitts, Pert Kelton, Edward Everett Horton, Nat Pendleton, and Ned Sparks NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
