Do not divulge the secret of 'Mark of the Vampire' to your friends... let them by mystified... and thrilled!"; based on the story 'The Hypnotist' by Tod Browning; about a father and daughter vampire team in an unnamed European country, and naturally, wherever they go, people are found dead) starring Lionel Barrymore, Elizabeth Allan, Bela Lugos (as Count Mora)i, Lionel Atwill, Jean Hersholt, Carroll Borland (as Luna, a female vampire; Borland was a huge Lugosi fan who wrote a script intended for him and appeared in this movie with him, which was only one of six movies she appeared in!), Holmes Herbert, and James Bradbury Jr. Note that director Tod Browning had incredible success with Dracula in 1931, but Freaks in 1933 was a major failure (at the time), and he was trying to regain his former glory with this movie, which was very loosely based on another major success, London After Midnight, which starred Lon Chaney Sr.! Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of four of the pages of this 8-page program (we did this by opening it and laying it flat and photographing the front and back cover together, and two of the interior pages together). You can see the four of the eight pages, and can well determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image, but realize that there are four pages you are not seeing. But of course this means that the front cover appears in the top right of our image, but normally, the program would be folded down the center and you would view the cover by itself (and it will be sent folded as was originally intended). Note that on January 6th of this year we auctioned a mostly single owner collection of 551 German and Austrian programs, that included many rare and wonderful titles, but now we have been consigned (from a new consignor) 128 German and Austrian programs which include some programs that are duplicates of ones we auctioned on January 6th, but which also includes a large number of programs which we have never auctioned before, including many rare and wonderful titles (especially super-rare pre-World War II titles from both countries, and some scarce titles from during World War II and from immediately after)! If you have the slightest interest in these, be sure to look over all of the 128 programs we are currently offering. We promise you won't be disappointed! Condition: good to very good. There are faint brown stains in the center of the back cover and near the top of several interior pages. There is a circular faint brown stain on the inside front cover that falls on the cover in the black background to the left of Lugosi's head, but it is virtually unnoticeable from the front.
