An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 13" x 16 1/2"; 6 pages) (Learn More) The Cabinet of Caligari (also released as "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari"), the 1962 Roger Kay mental illness horror thriller (written by Robert Bloch, the writer of "Psycho"; "To The Unshockables: It shocks, shocks, shocks..."; "It Shocks The Unshockables!"; "No One Permitted Out Or In During the Last 13 Nerve-Shattering Minutes!"; "I live with him, but not in the way you mean... I'm not his mistress, no!"; "You love sadism... that's what you love... Caligari!"; "You pretend you don't know... after you insulted me... violated me!") starring Glynis Johns, Dan O'Herlihy (in the title role as Caligari), Richard Davalos (billed as "Dick Davalos"), Lawrence Dobkin, Constance Ford, J. Pat O'Malley, Vicki Trickett, and Estelle Winwood. Note that there was a classic 1919 German version of this movie, and this version was written by Robert Bloch, so horror fans everywhere had great expectations for it, but alas, they were not fulfilled! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook was folded across the center at one time. Because of this, this pressbook can be sent in one of our standard size packages (if it is purchased together with pressbooks that can NOT be folded, then it will of course have to be sent in one of our oversized packages). But if this pressbook is purchased by itself (or solely with other pressbooks that can be folded), then the shipping will be much lower, because it fits in a standard package. Condition: good to very good, NO CUTS. There is some tattering and staining around the edges of the pressbook. Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of the pressbook, plus an image of any supplements or heralds (if there are any included with this pressbook), but of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are selling (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!
