An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Crime on Their Hands, the 1948 Edward Bernds newspaper journalism slapstick comedy short ("Squeezing out a riot of howls!"; "A Columbia Short-Subject Presentation"; in this entry, the Stooges are janitors in a newspaper office, but when they hear about a diamond robbery, they decide to try to be reporters and catch the crooks, and as often happens in these comedies, they are caught by the crooks, but are able to escape thanks to a friendly gorilla!) starring The Three Stooges (Larry, Moe and Shemp), Kenneth MacDonald, Christine McIntyre, Charles C. Wilson, Lester Allen, and Ray 'Crash' Corrigan (as an uncredited gorilla!). Note that Crash Corrigan made a REALLY wise investment in the 1930s, when he bought a "gorilla suit". In many of the movies in the 1940s where there is a fake gorilla, it is played by Crash Corrigan, no doubt because he could supply the suit! Also note that much of this short was re-edited into the 1955 comedy short "Hot Ice". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at the top crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds. It had some separation and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds, with some small tears and tiny paper loss near parts of just a few folds. It had pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
