(Learn More) John and Julie, the 1955 (released in the U.S. in 1957) William Fairchild English juvenile runaway royalty comedy ("It took a full Field marshal... the Royal Brigade of Guards and half the brass and gold braid in London... but Julie had her way with John... and you'll have the lark of your life!"; "Come behind the scenes for the greatest spectacle on Earth!"; "Hear the hit music played by Eddie Calvert on his golden trumpet!"; about two young English children on holiday in London who run away so they can try to visit the Queen) starring Moira Lister, Noelle Middleton, Constance Cummings, Wilfrid Hyde-White, Sidney James, Joseph Tomelty, Colin Gibson, and Lesley Dudley (in the title roles as John and Julie; Gibson and Dudley are billed as "introducing Colin Gibson and Lesley Dudley") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" item for this English movie! Also note that pressbooks were prepared prior to a movie being released. Often, changes would be made in a movie advertising campaign (billing of actors, different images, etc.), and the theaters would print up special supplements that they would send out with the pressbooks that had already been printed. These supplements are very rare, far more rare than the pressbooks themselves! Some pressbooks would have no supplements, some would have one, and some would have several. Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook, and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Finally, note that this English pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: very good, NO CUTS. Learn More about condition grades
