But nothing compared to what's coming."; "This advertisement has been paid for by Warner Bros. who would love The Candidate to be a winner."; "McKay the better way"; "Written by Jeremy Larner") starring Robert Redford (in the title role), Peter Boyle, Melvyn Douglas ("as John J. McKay"), Karen Carlson, and Morgan Upton NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the regular one-sheet for this movie (and just about every other poster from the first release) shows an image of Robert Redford blowing a large chewing gum bubble that obscures his face. The poster here is the very rare international one-sheet which features Redford extending his hand for a handshake, and which does not obscure his face! Condition: good. The poster has darkened somewhat and it has separation in the upper and lower crossfolds that has been repaired with thick tape from the back (see our image). It some foreign on back at upper right that slightly bleeds through to the front. Certainly the rare poster could be restored and linenbacked and it would look great, but please bear in mind its defects and cost of restoration before placing a bid.
