An Unfolded Advertising Poster (measures 14" x 20 3/4" [36 x 53 cm]) (Learn More) Fly the Friendly Highs Of the Fish, the 1969 (or perhaps early 1970s) alcohol advertising poster ("If you think flying is all reservations, schedules, boarding passes, and baggage checks - not so! Not when you fly the friendly highs of the Fish. On Baltimore's newest airline getting there can be all of the fun. All flights now offer the sale of National Premium beer by draught and all the free popcorn you can eat. Hearty lunches are served on all flights airborne between 11 A.M. and 2 P.M. Our cabins are tastefully decorated by the offerings of Baltimore's most promising artists. If you sometimes can't seem to get off the ground [or out from under the table], fly Fish!") promoting the No Fish Today tavern/music venue located in Baltimore, Maryland. No Fish Today opened in 1969 and was destroyed by arson in 1981. The venue featured jazz, blues and rock 'n' roll (rock and roll), and was the first venue in Baltimore to have acts such as George Thorogood, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Note that this poster features a photo of several people holding beer in front of a biplane. This is certainly an odd advertisement and we imagine there is an "in-joke" to the image, but we can't find more info. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster has never been folded and it is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
