And only murder could part them!"; "When these two clash... tension grows tighter and tighter until violence is the only answer!"; "Screenplay by Robert Rossen"; a convoluted story of a woman who killed her aunt as a teenager, and the man who witnessed it blackmailed her into marrying him, and there is an old boyfriend who returns to town and stirs up old events) starring Barbara Stanwyck (in the title role as Martha Ivers), Van Heflin, Lizabeth Scott, Kirk Douglas (billed as "Introducing Kirk Douglas"; in his first movie role, and he is not pictured on the one-sheet), Judith Anderson, Janis Wilson (as the young Martha), and Mickey Kuhn (as the young Walter) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fair to good. There is scattered staining on the slide with some tiny areas of image loss. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Learn More about condition grades
