An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Fighting Fools, the 1949 Reginald Le Borg boxing sports comedy (the Boys join together with a boxer to break up a "fight-fixing racket") starring The Bowery Boys (billed as "Leo Gorcey and The Bowery Boys"; including Huntz Hall, Gabriel Dell, and Frankie Darro), Lyle Talbot, Bernard Gorcey, Teddy Infuhr, and Dorothy Baughan. Note that Bernard Gorcey was star Leo Gorcey's father, and he played Louie, the owner of the Sweet Shop, where the boys frequently hung out, and Louie was often involved in slapstick gags, and many times Leo Gorcey would be tormenting or slapping his own father!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned one in all our years of auctioning and that was in 2001!

Condition: poor to fair. The poster is in much lesser condition. It has MUCH water staining throughout which has rippled and softened the poster paper and there are several defects scattered along the edges and foldlines/crossfolds and there are several significant areas of foldline and/or crossfold separation. Many of the defects have been repaired or replaced with tape from the back. The poster is very fragile and difficult to handle. The rare poster is in urgent need of restoration. Certainly a top restorer can repair the defects described above, and after, the poster will display really well, but please bear in mind the poster's many defects and the cost of restoration before placing a bid.
